Accounts Payable Specialist
- Process full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, and data entry
- Ensure proper approvals, accurate general ledger coding, and timely payments
- Manage vendor relationships and respond to invoice and payment inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting
- Maintain organized and compliant accounts payable records
- Assist with payroll processing on a recurring schedule
- Review payroll information for accuracy, including time entries, deductions, and adjustments
- Support payroll reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with established internal controls
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable and payroll
- Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
- Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation
- Partner with Human Resources and Finance on employee-related accounting matters
- Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience
- Payroll processing or payroll support experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable best practices
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Experience working in a professional services or corporate environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
