Industrial Maintenance Tech
$28-30 HR plus $2 shift differential
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pmGenerally off on weekends.
Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Monitor start-up of assigned area, repair any issues identified during start-up, complete work orders, respond to maintenance calls, maintain spare parts crib and required documentation. Complete equipment moves, projects, and rebuilds. LOTO Certified, Confined space, etc. May exercise some supervision over vendors.
Accreditation from vocational/tech. school in industrial maintenance, with 5 years experience. Understanding of basic PLC controls, read ladder logic and blueprints, understanding of circuit logic and power distribution, perform minor construction, troubleshoot high and low voltage, and possibly rebuild pumps, motors, gear boxes. Welding certificate preferred, thermography experience to scan switch gear, circuit breaker boxes, etc.

Repairing -- Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools. Forklift driving skills and other equipment.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Troubleshooting -- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
Installation -- Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications. Judgment and Decision Making -- Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
Learning Strategies -- Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Physical dexterity - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. At times required to work at high heights up to 50 ft and on building roof.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
