Chester Career College is seeking a Full-time Surgical Technology Instructor with the passion and desire to train surgical leaders of tomorrow. As an Instructor of CCC you will teach students the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for a Surgical Tech career. Candidate will provide classroom instruction, hands-on lab work, and prepare students for succcess in clinical experiences and a career as a surgical technologist. Candidate will help develop curriculum, train and assess student progress, and guide progression of the Surgical program in keeping current with advancements in the field.

Course Management:

• Curriculum Maintenance:

  Assist Program Director in updating and revising course materials to reflect current best practices and accreditation standards.

• Collaboration:

  Work with Program Director, other faculty, and clinical coordinator to ensure a cohesive and effective educational experience.

• Student Assessment:

  Instructor will evaluate student performance through exams, practical skills assessments, and feedback on their work and development.

• Professional Development:

  Stay up-to-date on the latest surgical technologies and teaching methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  Surgical Technology degree (Associate's) or higher is preferred however candidates with 5 or more years of experience and are a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or willing to become certified will be strongly considered.

• Experience:

  A minimum of two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.

• Skills:

  Strong communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, and the ability to teach and demonstrate proper surgical techniques.
