We are recruiting for a full-time Database Administrator to join our Information Technology team.
Responsibilities
Management of the agency’s data assets and ensures data quality. Work closely with leadership and end users to develop business intelligence in accordance with the agency’s goals and business needs, analyze and interpret large volumes of healthcare and demographic data from a variety of sources to provide insights for data-driven decision making and quality improvement efforts for agency initiatives, including local, state and federal mandates. Serves as technical expert for data analysis, dashboard development and reporting to demonstrate client outcomes and support agency initiatives.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, informatics, statistics, data science, computer science or related field.
- Two (2) years professional work experience in data research, quantitative analysis, statistics, data science or data analytics; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License with a point balance of -6 or higher.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience with electronic health records.
- Experience with a wide variety of software (MS PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, etc.) and reporting tools to create infographics and data visualizations.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server environment and database management tools.
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases, with ability to create advanced SQL queries to retrieve and report data.
- Uses statistical packages, reporting programs and tools, and business intelligence software, including, but not limited to, Electronic Health Record reporting platforms, SPSS, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Synthesizes data, creates reporting tools, and develops data visualizations, published reports and business intelligence dashboards for all levels of the organization, providing data to support agency initiatives.
- Develops presentations, narratives, tables, and graphs in a variety of formats that are appropriate and understandable to a range to audiences.
- Ability to communicate complex information effectively (both verbally and in writing) and to develop an excellent rapport with internal and external business/strategic partners (i.e., IT staff, Leadership Team, vendors, end users, DBHDS, etc.)
Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry report will be required upon selection. Our Agency maintains a drug-free workplace.
Annual Salary Range
Grade S-N12
$72,824.00 - $84,961.00
