Woodworking CNC Technician (Suffolk, VA)

Your Impact

• Configure and operate computer-controlled machines to process wood components accurately and efficiently.
• Lift and position workpieces by hand or with lift tables to stage jobs safely.
• Track machine status via control panels and address issues immediately.
• Stop equipment as needed to remove parts or change tools, setups, or placements according to sequence requirements.
• Verify finished dimensions with precision instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Identify tool wear or vibration by sound and feel; make adjustments to maintain quality.
• Partner with supervisors/programmers to troubleshoot malfunctions and validate production decisions.
• Complete routine maintenance—clean, lubricate, and inspect—to sustain reliability.
• Stack, load, or convey finished items to downstream operations.
• Keep the area tidy and organized; uphold housekeeping standards.
• Hit daily output goals while maintaining safety and quality.

Where You’ll Work

Manufacturing environment with active machinery and vibration. PPE is required at all times around equipment.

Physical Expectations

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb for the majority of the shift
• Lift and move 50+ pounds regularly
• Use close/distance/color/peripheral vision; maintain depth perception and focus
• Regular talking and hearing

Schedule & Travel

• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Mandatory overtime as needed, including extended shifts and some weekends
• No regular travel; occasional specialized off-site training may require travel

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic math and reading comprehension
• At least 1 year of machine operator experience
