The ideal candidate is an experienced clinician with a passion for serving the Warrior population. Someone who combines strong clinical skills with empathy, emotional resilience, and alignment with our mission of healing those who protect and serve.

About Warriors Heart Services: Warriors Heart is a privately funded inpatient treatment center dedicated exclusively to the Warrior Class—active-duty military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, EMTs, and first responders. Located on a 520-acre private ranch in Milford, Virginia, Warriors Heart provides a holistic, healing environment. Our 42-day residential program combines detox, step-down levels of care, and dual-diagnosis treatment for chemical dependency and trauma, creating a space of trust, camaraderie, and shared service for those who have dedicated their lives to protecting others.

Mission: To bring healing and restoration to warriors facing substance abuse, PTSD, and trauma, while fostering community, connection, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Evaluation & Care Planning

Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to ensure aligned, holistic care.

Clinical Treatment

Provide individual and group therapy sessions with a maximum caseload of 10 clients.

Deliver dual-diagnosis treatment integrating trauma-informed and 12-Step modalities.

Maintain timely, compliant documentation using Alliva (EHR) in accordance with Joint Commission and state regulations.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

Collaborate with dual-diagnosis clinicians, CSACs, and medical providers to ensure comprehensive care.

Participate in daily clinical huddles, interdisciplinary discussions, and crisis intervention planning.

Contribute to peer learning, mentorship, and the supportive “warrior-to-warrior” culture within the organization.

Growth & Professional Development

Engage in ongoing training and professional development focused on trauma, crisis intervention, and chemical dependency treatment.

Participate in clinical supervision (provided onsite) if working toward independent licensure.

Support the continuous enhancement of treatment programming and therapeutic offerings.

Qualifications

Licensure: LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in Virginia

Substance Use: CSAC credential required for substance abuse counselor roles

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience preferred

Expertise: Strong background in trauma, substance use, dual-diagnosis, and 12-Step integration

Additional: Life experience with addiction, recovery, or military/first responder culture is highly valued

Performance Expectations

Manage a caseload of up to 10 clients with individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.

Deliver consistent, compassionate care that reflects Warriors Heart’s mission and values.

Demonstrate professional maturity, strong boundaries, and the ability to work within a high-impact population.

Participate actively in interdisciplinary collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.

Model personal growth, resilience, and empathy in both clinical and team settings.

Our work is deeply mission-driven—every day, our clinicians help restore hope, dignity, and strength to those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. You’ll join a team that values authenticity, humor, and shared humanity as much as clinical excellence.

Our Value Proposition:

Mission-Driven Impact: Help veterans and first responders reclaim their lives through holistic, trauma-informed treatment.

Personal & Professional Growth: “You won’t be the same person after working here.” Clinicians experience profound personal and career growth.

Team Spirit: Goofy, compassionate, and grounded—everyone from housekeeping to leadership contributes equally to the mission.
