Job Summary

W e are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Developer to join our team on a contractual basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, designers, and fellow developers—to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive business value.

Job Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and web applications.
• Build and support headless APIs using Java.
  
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  
• Apply test-driven development (TDD) methodologies to ensure software quality.
  
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and other developers to enhance functionality and user experience.
  
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance and reliability.
  
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  
• Participate in Agile development cycles, refining user stories and providing accurate task estimates.
  
• Break down complex tasks into actionable sub-tasks for better planning and execution.
  
• Adhere to and promote best practices in web security and version control.

Skills Required

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  
• Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL databases.
  
• Proficiency in JUnit for unit testing.
  
• Experience working with GIT version control systems.
  
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat server environments.
  
• Strong understanding of web security principles.
  
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Experience with Groovy scripting.
  
• Familiarity with OpenSearch.
  
• Ability to configure and manage Tomcat servers.
  
• Experience using Ansible for automation and deployment.
  
• Knowledge of Nginx setup and configuration

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
