Machine Operator Helper

Responsibilities

• Load the converting machine with paper rolls and other components to ensure continuous operation.

• Remove finished products from the conveyor belt or machine out-feed area as they are produced.

• Inspect products for visible defects, such as tears or incorrect folds, to uphold high standards of manufacturing quality.

• Count, sort, and stack finished paper products according to specific quality and quantity guidelines.

• Package and box the counted products, ensuring they are correctly sealed, labeled, and prepared for shipment.

• Transfer finished product stacks or boxes from the machine to the designated staging area using a pallet jack or hand truck.

• Maintain and monitor the proper levels of glue, ink, or other necessary consumables for the machine.

• Perform basic cleaning tasks on the equipment and surrounding floor throughout the shift.

• Remove scrap paper and other waste materials from the production area to keep the workspace tidy and safe.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 45lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time
• working up to 40 hrs of overtime per week
• working weekends
