Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure initiatives and application deployments on AWS. This role involves designing and executing strategic cloud solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring application resiliency and performance. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with automation, scripting, and cloud-native services, and will play a key role in supporting production environments and driving DevOps best practices across the organization.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Proven expertise in deploying and maintaining applications on AWS Cloud.

. Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitLab.

. Hands-on knowledge of ECS, EC2, and AWS resiliency services.

. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, PHP, and Node.js.

. Experience with serverless architecture and AWS services like Lambda.

. Familiarity with AWS DevOps tools: CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.

. Solid understanding of application monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

. Ability to develop and execute shakeout and resiliency plans.

. Experience building automation testing frameworks.

. Strong documentation skills including architecture diagrams and deployment guides.

. Comfortable working in Agile environments and participating in team ceremonies.

. Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP is a plus.

. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect) are a strong plus.

. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering and DevOps roles.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $85,100.00 - $121,200.00.
