As a Security Officer - Armed Tech/Media Patrol in Manassas, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you'll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability-giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your visible presence and ongoing patrols will provide peace of mind to those onsite, while your armed status will play a critical role in maintaining order. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication to all guests and staff, embodying our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance, Be 21+ years of age, and have an Active DCJS Armed Guard Card

Pay Rate: $27.31 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and enforce site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and/or the location management.
  • Provide high level customer service while interacting with employees, visitors, and vendors at the tech-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and respond to unusual situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as appropriate.
  • Monitor for suspicious persons, vehicles, or activities and report findings to the appropriate Allied Universal and/or location personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and lockdowns, following established protocols for the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports, documenting observations and actions taken during each shift.
  • Comply with all Allied Universal policies and training, including those specific to armed posts and technology-oriented environments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
  • Must have a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
