Job Summary
T he Warehouse Loader is responsible for preparing outbound freight for shipment and loading trailers accurately, safely, and damage-free. This role ensures pallets are staged, wrapped, and loaded in the correct stop sequence according to predetermined loading plans while maintaining quality standards and efficient product flow. The position supports Order Selectors and functions as a team member, performing additional duties as needed to support warehouse operations.
Job Description
- Review daily work schedules, perform safety inspections on equipment, obtain necessary supplies, and prepare for warehouse operations.
- Inspect empty trailers at the loading dock to ensure cleanliness and readiness prior to loading; take corrective action as needed.
- Move outbound products from staging areas to the loading dock using forklifts or other material-handling equipment.
- Wrap pallets by hand using stretch film and ensure shipping labels are properly applied.
- Load pallets and products into trailers using forklifts, power jacks, or manual handling, following established loading plans and correct stop sequences.
- Position and secure loads properly within trailers once loading is complete.
- Remove and properly dispose of empty pallets, cardboard, and packing materials; inspect pallets for damage and transport serviceable pallets to designated storage areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, loading dock, and trailers through routine housekeeping.
- Manage equipment batteries by replacing and recharging as required and complete vehicle inspection checklists.
- Assist Order Selectors and support other warehouse functions as assigned by the supervisor.
- Secure all equipment and complete required paperwork at the end of each shift.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, stand, sit, walk, lift, carry, and use handheld tools or devices throughout the shift.
- 6–12 months of warehouse and/or production work experience.
- 1–2 years of warehouse and/or production work experience is preferred
Education
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Additional Requirements
- OSHA Forklift Operator Certification.
- 1st Shift: starting at 6am
Pay Rate
- $19 per hour
