Electrical Service Technician (Journeyman) & Master Electrician — Qualifying Individual
Shape Your Day in the Field
Picture your morning in Greater Richmond: pre-trip check on a company vehicle, first stop at a historic home with a tripping breaker, then over to a neighborhood retailer to resolve a lighting control issue. After lunch, you’ll swap to light industrial troubleshooting before closing the day with a safety review and clean documentation. That’s the rhythm—variety, problem-solving, and professional service.
Two Paths on One Team
Journeyman Electrician
Own a mix of installation, maintenance, and service calls across homes, commercial properties, and light industrial environments. Diagnose issues efficiently, complete code-compliant repairs, and deliver a confident, customer-first experience at every site.
Master Electrician — Service Manager / Qualifying Individual
Be the team’s trainer and go-to problem solver. You have previously served as a Qualifying Individual and are comfortable leading from the front—coaching techs, supporting complex diagnostics, and representing the team with clients.
What You’ll Tackle
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and components for residential and commercial customers.
- Diagnose issues and select safe, effective solutions that align with code and best practices.
- Model professional, customer-focused service and clear communication.
- Maintain rigorous safety, organization, and documentation standards.
Tools of the Trade
Multimeters, voltage testers, wire strippers, pliers, cutters, screwdrivers, drills, saws, conduit benders, and fish tape.
What You Bring
- Virginia DPOR Journeyman Electrician license.
- Background in both residential and commercial electrical service; light industrial exposure a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and safe work habits.
- Professional communication and customer service strengths.
- Good driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Proficiency with 120/208/240/480 voltage systems.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $75,000–$100,000, depending on experience.
- Use of a company vehicle during the workday.
- Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, HSA, 401(k), and Paid Time Off.
Schedule & Coverage
Full-time first-shift role with overtime available and occasional 24-hour on-call rotations to support customer needs. Steady, year-round workload serving residential and commercial customers across the Greater Richmond area.
Why You’ll Thrive Here
Count on stable work, a supportive team environment, diverse job sites, and the resources to do the job right and safely. Sharpen your electrical expertise while delivering high-quality, reliable service to the community.
