Job Description
IDS is seeking a motivated Treaty Compliance Analyst to support arms control, compliance, and inspection-related activities for defense and national security programs. This role involves assisting senior staff in coordinating with high-level defense organizations, conducting treaty-related analysis, and supporting projects that involve multi-stakeholder engagement. The Treaty Compliance Analyst will contribute to ensuring U.S. compliance with relevant treaty obligations and support leadership decision-making through research, coordination, and documentation.
Key Duties
• Interact and coordinate with Service Staff, Joint Staff (JS), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) on treaty compliance and arms control matters.
• Assist in analyzing arms control (AC) treaty inspection and compliance (I&C) issues at both guidance and operational levels.
• Support the planning, direction, and management of complex projects involving multiple points of contact across internal and external organizations.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and analytical products to support senior leaders and decision-makers.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations related to treaty compliance, operational impacts, and policy considerations.
• Assist in maintaining documentation, compliance records, and tracking systems to support treaty-related activities.
• Help coordinate engagements, working groups, and interagency meetings related to treaty obligations and compliance actions.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific, technical, management, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience:
• Interacting with Service Staff, Joint Staff, and OSD organizations.
• Working arms control treaty inspection and compliance issues at a guidance or operational level.
• Planning, directing, or managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders or points of contact.
• TOP SECRET/SCI clearance required.
