As a Security Officer flex Driver Patrol in Emporia, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support access control and visitor badging as needed. You will communicate clearly with employees and guests while documenting observations using a computer and/or tablet. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech or telecom location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and reporting them per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, access concerns, disturbances and/or medical events, and request assistance when needed.
• Monitor access points and key areas through physical presence and available systems, help to deter unauthorized entry, and direct employees, contractors and visitors according to site requirements.
• Complete accurate reports and logs, document incidents, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts during shift changes and throughout the shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
