Field Representative - Area 46 (Central CA, Northern NV)
1. Plan, organize, and execute Friends of NRA fundraising events such as banquets, auctions, raffles, and special events to achieve or exceed annual fundraising goals.
- Manage event timelines, logistics, and volunteer teams to ensure high-quality, compliant fundraising activities.
- Monitor event performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve participation and net revenue.
2. Recruit, train, and mentor Friends of NRA volunteers, committee members, and leadership teams.
- Facilitate regular committee meetings, workshops, and planning sessions to build engagement and accountability.
- Ensure adherence to all operational, financial, and compliance guidelines outlined in the Event Fundraising Guide.
3. Prepare, submit, and maintain accurate event financial reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Monitor expenses to ensure events operate within approved budgets and financial controls.
- Safeguard organizational assets, including equipment and funds, in accordance with division policies.
4. Coordinate distribution of local grant applications. Serve as Secretary to the State Fund Committees in assigned territory, ensuring compliance with grant policies and timelines.
5. Build and maintain relationships with Friends of NRA volunteers, donors, affiliated gun clubs, state associations, and community partners.
- Serve as a primary resource for information about Friends of NRA and NRA programs.
- Identify growth opportunities and expand volunteer and donor networks within assigned territory.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.SCOPE: High visibility with NRA staff, Friends of NRA volunteers, donors, NRA Board of Directors, and the public. Responsible for handling funds, equipment, and sensitive information with integrity and accountability. Functions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring strong prioritization and independent judgment. Frequent travel within the territory required; extended work hours including evening and weekend work required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Demonstrated success in fundraising, event management, volunteer recruitment and management preferred. Leadership and project management experience required. Experience or familiarity with shooting sports is essential. Salary is budgeted at $70,000 to 90,000/year based on qualifications, experience, and geographic market. Proficient in web-based systems and Microsoft Office. Strong public speaking, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated sales, marketing, or fundraising experience with a results-driven approach. Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Valid unrestricted driver's license and ability to travel frequently required. Must be able to lift and carry event materials weighing approximately 25 - 30 lbs.
