As a **Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol** in **Mc Lean, VA** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. **What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
+ Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering the location.
+ Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities observed during patrols.
+ Assist with emergency situations such as evacuations and/or medical incidents as required by site protocols.
+ Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
+ Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related situation that may arise at the location.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
+ Possess an armed guard card or license.
+ Hold an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
