Hotel Restaurant Cook

Position Summary:

The Hotel Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. The cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, follow all safety and sanitation procedures, and ensure a memorable dining experience for hotel guests and patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to hotel recipes and standards.
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Ensure all food preparation meets quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and refrigeration standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and food service team to meet guest satisfaction goals.
• Monitor food stock and place orders as needed.
• Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ years of previous cooking experience restaurant, or banquet setting.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
