Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients requiring respiratory therapy, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and airway clearance techniques
- Perform routine respiratory procedures such as chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and humidification as indicated
- Monitor patient response to therapy, adjust plans under physician orders, and document findings in the patient record
- Collaborate with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient comfort, safety, and outcomes
- Educate patients and families on breathing treatments, device use, and discharge planning as appropriate
- Ensure infection control practices, equipment maintenance, and safety protocols are followed

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia or eligibility for Virginia licensure
- Ability to work in a travel assignment and adapt to a geriatric, long-term care population
- Proficiency with standard respiratory therapies and equipment used in post-acute care
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Availability to work the scheduled 3x12-hour day shifts and meet guaranteed hours
