Program Overview

About The Role

Peraton is seeking an experienced s enior Site Systems Administrator to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client’s global missions.

The candidate must have demonstrated experience in conceptual thinking and analytical skills to analyze complex problems for resolutions that include interrelationships and dependencies to identify common themes and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, upgrade, and manage infrastructure software, hardware and networks.

• Design, install, and configure secure and scalable systems to support our client’s infrastructure .

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues for resolutions.

• Analyze business requirements to determine technology needs and stay cognizant of new technology , trends and innovations to continually improve system performance.

• D rive initiatives working with product managers to integrate new technologies into systems infrastructure.

• Plan and implement systems automation to improve efficiencies as applicable.

• Implement and monitor system performance metrics.

• Develop and maintain interfaces for tools and complex systems.

• Develop , implement and maintain processes and procedures for all enterprise monitoring.

• Diagnose the system for vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to resolve complex issues .

• Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems.

• Maintain system security and data integrity.

• 10% Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :

• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a counter-intelligence scope (CI) Poly clearances .

• Minimum of 12 years of work experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven work experience as a Site Systems Administrator or similar role .

• Experience with system design and management.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of system security and data protection.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearances.

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platform technologies, preferably AWS. 

• Experience in Java application development, EMC VNX, network monitoring, user provisioning and continuous integration.

• Familiarity with big data tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi , Kafka , etc . 

• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative development.

• Strong familiarity with NoSQL/SQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL , etc. ). 

• Experience working with REST APIs, including secure transport methodologies. 

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins. 

• Expertise in Microservices Architecture, Java, Spring, and Spring Boot. 

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required t o hold this clearance.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
