We are looking for a skilled Legal Secretary to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal administration and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
Responsibilities:• Draft, review, and prepare legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
• Maintain and organize case files to ensure accessibility and compliance with legal standards.
• Conduct legal research to support attorneys in case preparation and decision-making.
• Coordinate schedules and manage calendars for attorneys and legal teams.
• Handle court filings and e-filing processes accurately and within deadlines.
• Provide back-office support, including dictation and administrative assistance.
• Facilitate effective communication between attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in case management by tracking deadlines and updating relevant documentation.
• Ensure all legal documentation is properly filed and maintained.
• Support litigation processes by preparing and managing documents related to cases.• At least 5 years of experience in a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary role.
• Proficiency in e-filing and court filing procedures.
• Strong organizational skills, including calendar management and record keeping.
• Familiarity with family law, administrative law, and litigation support.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with attorneys and clients.
• Ability to handle dictation and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of legal documentation and case management processes.
• Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail.
