Safety Specialist

Summary::
We are looking for an experienced Safety Specialist with a background in construction safety, preferably in heavy civil projects. This role will support site safety programs, conduct inspections and audits, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of safety across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor job sites to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations

• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks for crews and supervisors

• Assist in developing and updating site-specific safety plans (SSSPs)

• Maintain safety documentation and reports

• Support project teams in identifying and mitigating hazards

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in construction safety (heavy civil preferred)

• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices

• Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or CHST a plus

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Ability to travel to various job sites throughout the region
