Travel Respiratory Therapist needed for a 13-week assignment in Norfolk, Virginia with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Start date: 04/20/2026. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide bedside respiratory care to residents, including oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, airway clearance techniques, humidification, and suctioning as indicated.
- Monitor respiratory status, document findings, and promptly communicate changes to the care team.
- Administer and manage respiratory therapies and equipment (oxygen delivery systems, nebulizers, spirometry support) while adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist with ventilator support and non-invasive ventilation as approved by protocol and facility guidelines; participate in weaning programs when appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other disciplines to develop, implement, and adjust respiratory care plans for residents.
- Maintain clean, functional equipment, perform routine equipment checks, and report any malfunctions or supplies needs.

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia or eligibility for travel assignment
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work night shifts and Sunday coverage as required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to provide respiratory care within a skilled nursing facility setting
- Travel assignment eligibility and reliability for a 13-week contract
