Red Hat Certified System Administrator

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
- As a Red Hat Certified System Administrator, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems. You will play a crucial role in helping design networks and helping to secure them with proper cybersecurity techniques.
- Lead/Manage/Support -assist leading team of cybersecurity SME's in securing various customer networks
- Drive key outcomes and help the team innovate and resolve challenges, etc.
- Understand and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation
- Create simple shell scripts
- Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes
- Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, and core services
- Manage users and groups
- Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration
- Perform basic container management
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cybersecurity Engineer Principal must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Be proficient in cybersecurity DoW policies and procedures. Certified IAM Level III and RHSA certification
● Security clearance level: Secret
● US citizenship required
● Role requirements: Primarily work on-site, some travel may be required.
