Based in Reston, VA you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your classroom gained knowledge to contribute to the design of highway/roadway transportation related projects. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

What you will do:

• Support a variety of technical teams in the delivery of quality services, to include engineering design, environmental, quality, and project controls on a mega-design-build transportation project by:
  1. Utilizing CADD to prepare various engineering drawings, layouts, and/or models to communicate project details in accordance with established standards and procedures
  2. Participating in project meetings
  3. Complete assignments as assigned (prepare calculations, reports, etc)
• Assist in providing technical and operational support for exposure to:
  1. Highway engineering principles, standards, and practices;
  2. Project Delivery for key clients (including the design, environmental, and procurement processes);
  3. Various Related Highway Disciplines (Stormwater management, green infrastructure, utilities, structures, etc).
• Participate in Jacobs’ summer intern program to grow your professional network.

Here's what you'll need

Here’s What You’ll Need:

• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program;
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, pptx)

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• 3.0 GPA
• Interest in a career in transportation engineering

40,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

60,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $60,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
