Paralegal for Estate Planning Law Firm- Hampton Roads, Virginia

Professional with experience in the legal field for busy Estate & Trust Administration Department.

Duties include assisting with estates and trusts that are being administered. Duties may include drafting correspondence, drafting deeds, obtaining tax IDs, drafting trust administration documents, scanning, filing, taking client calls, interacting with clients, and helping with overall organization of the department and its files. Experience with Estates and/or trust administration is preferred. Law office experience and Paralegal license or training is required.

Position requires an individual with very high attention to detail, strict quality control standards, ability to learn and become proficient working with various legal software programs, highly proficient in Word, time management skills, and fantastic customer service and interaction skills. Legal experience required. Ability to work on your own. There will be travel expected between our 3 offices with the primary work location being our Williamsburg office. It is estimated you will be expected to travel 1-2 days a week.

Full time; Salary commensurate with experience.

- Previous experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant preferred
- Strong proofreading and organizational skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Ability to write clearly and concisely, excellent grammar

- Experience with Estate Planning- Wills, Trusts, Estates

-Time Management and Efficiency- must be able to multi-task and keep up with a very busy office.

As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys in their day-to-day tasks. Your attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously will contribute to the success of our legal team. We are only reviewing resumes that demonstrate legal office experience. Experience working with administering trusts and estates is preferred.
