Parts Business Supervisor
Reporting directly to the Parts Business Manager, the Parts Business Supervisor coordinates customer service related activities related to the supply and demand of spare parts for both customers and affiliate organizations.
Responsibilities
- Based on reports, advises Management of issues, proposes remedial actions.
- Reviews customer requirements and Parts Administrator management of back order reports and planning of deliveries.
- Definition and ongoing modification of reports as required by the department.
- Maintain strong communication and working relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and complete payroll on a timely basis.
- Provide support to Parts Planning and Reverse Logistics when necessary.
Supervisory Duties: - Directly supervises three to five employees in the Parts Business Department.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Spare Parts team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Competencies
- Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Customs regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of ERP LN or equivalent ERP.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software;
- Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Travel to customer or supplier sites either nationally and internationally up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including 24 hour on-call notice and weekend on call duty.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver license and passport.
