Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient visit by accompanying the dermatologist in the room and fostering a friendly and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position requires a blend of patient care, customer service, and triage skills in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:

• Room patients and document all vital information.
• Scribe information for the dermatologist.
• Provide post-operative care to patients.
• Draw blood and remove sutures.
• Clean and stock exam rooms.
• Schedule patient appointments.

Essential Skills:

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in Surgical, Dermatology, or Urgent Care.
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Capability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Non-Certified Medical Assistants will need to complete a certification program within the prescribed time period and maintain certification upon expiration.

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced, handling approximately 65 patients per day. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vienna, VA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
