ID: 77786293 Shift: 07:00-19:00 Description: Description: General CommentsHospital: LewisGale Medical Center Location: Salem, Virginia Address: 1900 Electric Road Salem, Virginia 24153 Unit Name: L&D Building: Main Building, 2nd Floor Cost Center: 70718 General Information Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 17 inpatient, 2 triage Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability): Secretary on dayshift only, no techs Type of equipment: Monica Novii, Ambulatory (Telemetry) Monitors, GE EFM Documentation system: Meditech, Centricity Scheduling requirements: 3 12-hours shifts per week Floating policy: MB/Postpartum Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, courtesy and respect Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FM or C-EFM, NRP Hiring profile Requested Skill Set: IV insertion, lab draws, JADA and BAKRI knowledge, blood administration, nitrous administration, experience with vaginal exams, setting up delivery tables for vaginal deliveries Must have: Labor and delivery experience, strip interpretation, knowledge of common OB medications, circulator experience in C/S, PACU recovery experience for spinal anesthesia, antepartum triage, knowledge of common complications and treatments for obstetrical complaints, assist with epidural placement, teamwork approach to patient care Advanced skills needed: Procedures performed on unit: ECV, C/S, Vaginal Deliveries, Assist with vacuum or forceps as needed, Epidural placement Certifications Required: RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP Dress Code: (Required uniform) Hospital provided scrubs (wear whatever you chose to hospital, change on arrival and departure) Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines. 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule, ready for huddle at 6:45 Awards/Recognition: Please include anything that you would like prospective candidates to be aware of, such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards. ?
