As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Portsmouth, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, deliveries, and vehicle activity in accordance with site rules, helping to support authorized entry and orderly operations.
• Support incident response by investigating disturbances, preparing clear reports, and following post orders related to equipment, materials, and after-hours activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
