- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient care and support in a home or community setting.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and safety of those in your care.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote interaction and community involvement.
- Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring individuals safely.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to create personalized care plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide first aid as necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Provide and/or schedule transportation to and from community events and appointments
- Previous experience in working with individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities .
- Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks for meal preparation.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
- Must be able to lift individuals safely when required.
- Flexibility in scheduling is important as shifts may vary based on client needs.
- Reliable transportation.
