• $80,000 – $85,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus

About the Role

Our client is a privately owned and operated property management company in Virginia Beach seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant with property management or HOA accounting experience. This role partners closely with leadership and association boards, owning financials from budgeting through reporting and analysis.

What You’ll Do

• Manage day-to-day accounting for multiple associations


• Maintain general ledger, accounts receivable, and expense tracking


• Manage and automate the monthly management fee process


• Assist with preparing and monitoring association budgets


• Prepare financial reports and audit materials


• Review financial statements with leadership and provide insights


• Maintain and improve accounting systems and internal controls


• Use CINC Management Software, Excel, and property management accounting systems


• Leverage Excel extensively for reporting, reconciliations, and analysis


• Work with banking relationships, including BankUnited, CDs, and association finances


• Analyze financials and make recommendations related to reserves and investments


• Attend internal meetings and board meetings as needed


• Respond to higher-level financial questions from board members

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of property accounting experience


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis


• Advanced Excel skills


• Ability to clearly communicate financial information to leadership and board members

Work Schedule

• Onsite in Virginia Beach for the first 6 months


• Transitions to a hybrid schedule after 6 months (work from home 2 days per week)
