Job Title: Forklift Operator (Shipping/Receiving/Specials)
Company: Kelly Services
Location: Winchester, VA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 1:30pm
Compensation: $19 per hour

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to support shipping, receiving, and specials at our client’s manufacturing facility in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate is dedicated to workplace safety, efficiency, and teamwork, and capable of transporting materials and products across the facility with care and accuracy. Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret shipping schedules; stage doors and sort products to create correct stacks for shipping
• Stage products for shipping once wrapped
• Conduct pre-shift forklift safety inspections
• Fuel forklifts as required
• Operate forklift safely and follow all facility safety rules and regulations
• Pull production wrap lines and consolidate shipping orders
• Receive and ship items accurately in accordance with customer requirements
• Pay close attention to detail in pulling items from the warehouse based on work orders
• Work extended hours and overtime as needed, including weekends if business needs require
• Replace pallets/runners for a safe work environment
• Understand shipping documents to ensure proper space allocation for products
• Direct work of warehouse attendants and operators to efficiently load/unload materials
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Working knowledge of forklift operations and safety procedures
• Ability to mount and dismount forklift multiple times per day
• Self-driven, accountable, with strong integrity and communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical, organizational, and recordkeeping abilities
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multitasking
• Desirable: Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook); fast, accurate data entry
• Able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality required
• Familiarity with operational and safety SOPs

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (may be waived for experienced candidates)
• 2-3 years of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read and write English
• Demonstrated teamwork abilities
