Your Day to Day as a UPRR QA Technologist:
- Develop, implement, and maintain UPRR code compliance systems.
- Update and maintain UPRR contract specifications based on the customer's modifications.
- Test and execute UPRR Electronic Submittal Commercial project.
- Reviews and processes documentation for materials, processes, product releases, submittals, and certifications.
- Interprets technical specifications, conducts meetings, interfaces with customers, vendors, and other department representatives.
- Leads and/or participates in incident investigation teams and plans preventative and corrective actions.
- Identifies trends in work areas, including ongoing quality assessments of the unit's work.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in a technical field plus four (4) year's experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent with eight (8) years of related experience.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with proven time management skills.
- Must be able to read and accurately interpret technical documents.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment is required.
- Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities are required.
- Previous experience developing quality systems and procedures to be in compliance with customer specification is required.
- Previous experience with submittals, SAP, Contract Specifications, Code Compliance, DocQnet, Solumina, ETQ, Release system is required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of NQA-1 and ASME requirements is preferred.
- Knowledge of various quality control techniques used to analyze, trend, and improve product quality preferred.

Pay: $66,000- $101,000
The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $66,000 and $101,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
