This is a 6-month contract role for a Full-Stack Software Engineer working on cutting-edge cloud-native applications with a strong focus on generative AI and serverless architecture.

Position: Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA (Onsite/Hybrid as per client needs)

Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack, cloud-native applications for contact center systems.
• Build scalable tools and services using Python (backend) and React/Node.js (frontend).
• Integrate and optimize Generative AI Large Language Models (LLMs) using prompt engineering and agentic coding assistants.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs .
• Architect solutions using multi-threaded programming , design patterns , and event-driven architecture .
• Own delivery of complete modules and serve as a technical lead on complex projects.
• Collaborate using Git workflows (feature branches, pull requests, GitHub Actions).
• Produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong coding proficiency in Python and JavaScript/React .
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services :
• Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, AppSync, Bedrock, SageMaker, CloudWatch.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like CloudFormation or AWS CDK .
• Solid understanding of REST and GraphQL API development .
• Familiarity with Git-based collaboration and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Contact Center development or telephony infrastructure (e.g., Amazon Connect, Twilio, Genesys).
• Exposure to prompt engineering and LLM integration .
• Use of AI-powered coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude).
• Proven success in building serverless architectures aligned with AWS Well-Architected principles.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering or development roles.
