J&J Landscape Management is seeking a highly organized and reliable Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of landscape equipment and trucks. This position plays a critical role in keeping our crews productive by ensuring all equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to perform every day.

Our team maintains a large fleet of commercial landscape equipment including zero-turn mowers, stand-on mowers, handheld equipment, trailers, and trucks. The ideal candidate takes pride in preventative maintenance, organization, and solving mechanical problems quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on landscape equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and small engines
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on equipment and trucks
• Maintain sharpening program for mower blades and cutting equipment
• Keep all equipment operating safely and reliably for daily crew deployment
• Maintain organized parts inventory and shop workspace
• Track repairs and maintenance in company systems
• Coordinate equipment readiness for the start of each workday
• Assist crews with equipment troubleshooting when needed
• Identify equipment that should be repaired vs replaced
• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards

Equipment Maintained

• Commercial zero-turn and stand-on mowers
• Walk-behind mowers
• Trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws
• Small engines
• Landscape trucks and trailers
• Snow removal equipment

Qualifications

• 3+ years mechanical experience with commercial equipment preferred
• Small engine repair experience required
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to prioritize repairs to keep crews running
• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
