Cloud/Software Engineer

Oneida Technical Solutions, LLC (OTS) has a rich history of providing IT support and associated services in highly complex, highly regulated, highly secure environments, including the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), law enforcement, health care, retail, and the casino gaming industry. We have an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) Wave 1, specifically advancing the solution for bringing the EITaaS IT Service Management offerings to SIPR.

We are currently seeking a Cloud/Software Engineer for an onsite position in Chantilly, VA.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Azure Cloud/Software Engineer to join our growing team. As a SIPR Cloud/Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications and services. You will work closely with other engineers, DevOps teams, and product managers to build high-performance, secure, and reliable systems that support the needs of our business. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks, including cloud infrastructure design, software development, and integrating cloud services to optimize application performance.

• 5 + years' experience in cloud development or software engineering, including hands-on experience with cloud platforms Azure, and Azure Government.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Node.js, Go, etc.).
• Strong experience in building and deploying cloud-native applications using modern technologies (microservices, containerization, serverless).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, GCP, Azure App Services).
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile methodologies.
• Experience with API development (RESTful APIs, JSON, Swagger) and integration with third-party services.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack).
• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Graph databases) and cloud-based databases (e.g., DynamoDB, CosmosDB).
• Experience with application security best practices (e.g., SIEM, secure coding, encryption, vulnerability management).
• DoD 8140 compliance, CompTIA Security + or higher
• Must have Active Secret Clearance

Certifications:

• Azure cloud platform certifications highly preferred.
• DevOps, security, or database certifications are a plus.
