Position Overview
The Payroll/Expense Administrator will support the Human Resources Director in processing bi-weekly timecards, payroll, and expenses. The Payroll/Expense Administrator will have exceptional organizational skills and professionalism and will operate with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle bi-weekly processing, to include timecards, payroll, and expenses, in a multi-State/multi-jurisdiction environment with accuracy and timeliness for all employees.
- Process and distribute off-cycle checks for terminations, bonuses, etc.
- In conjunction with HR, maintain employee records, supporting documentation, and employee data for garnishments and deductions, including 401k and benefits.
- Handle payroll inquires and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- In conjunction with the Director, ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local payroll regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Experience
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Deltek Costpoint, ADP Workforce Now and other relevant software tools.
- Resourceful and proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions independently
- Ability to handle sensitive information with extreme discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Experience in the Defense contracting space strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a FOCI mitigated organization preferred.
- Basic understanding of global business organizations and processes.
- Minimum 3 years of payroll administration experience.
Education
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field Preferred
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear and use hands to finger, handle, and feel. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and have adequate mobility to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
