As a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistants, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:

• Provide occupational therapy treatments to patients as outlined in the plan of care
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility and adaptive techniques
• Educate patient and family on exercises, safety, and use of adaptive equipment
• Assess patient and accurately document visits, progress, and patient response to treatment
• Communicate effectively with the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and agency regulations

A few must-haves for Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistants:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and active OTA license in Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience, ideally in home healthcare
• CPR certification, Baseline TB Skin Test
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
• Good clinical judgement, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionate
