Position: Senior Project Manager – Transportation Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead transportation projects and oversee a dynamic team of engineers and designers. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in civil engineering and have at least 10 years of experience managing complex transportation, municipal, and water resources projects from start to finish. This role requires someone with a proven ability to manage all phases of roadway projects while ensuring they meet client expectations, budget, and timeline.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage roadway projects, ensuring successful delivery according to client expectations and within established budgets and schedules.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to a team of engineers and designers.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and preliminary designs to determine project viability.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and cost estimates for roadway projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate roadway designs into larger project plans.
• Oversee quality control and review submissions from junior engineers and external consultants.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery.
• Offer technical support during construction phases and assist with design-related issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in roadway design.
• Licensed P.E. in DC, MD, or VA.
• Proven success in delivering complex transportation projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with DDOT, VDOT, MDOT, or other Virginia/Maryland transportation projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Synchro, or Vissim.
• Additional certifications or advanced degrees in Civil Engineering or related fields.
