Located in Mineral, Virginia, Tributer Resort spans 1,000 acres bordering Lake Anna and is poised to become a premier destination in Virginia. The development plan includes nearly 900 residential entitlements, featuring estate homes and homesites, executive homesites, cottages, villas, townhomes and luxury condominium accommodations. The resort's planned amenities include a spa & wellness center, multiple restaurants, social and conference meeting space and a rich array of resort activities all anchored by the prestigious Cutalong Golf Club.
Position Summary:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily, maintenance, safety and environmental compliance of the entire Tributer Resort property. This includes managing third party contract consultants, vendors and physical assets including the CLA Environmental water, wastewater company, Cutalong Golf Clubhouse and amenities, stay & play rental units, and other facilities, as they are developed. The Facilities Manager will ensure regulatory compliance, coordinate preventative maintenance and energy management practices while maintaining the resort's high standards of presentation and functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management or engineering, and a keen understanding of regulatory compliance.Responsibilities include:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including DEQ, OSHA, EPA, fire codes, and other applicable safety and environmental regulations
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to maximize asset life cycles and energy efficiency.
- Ensure high aesthetic and operational standards are maintained across all guest-facing and operational areas
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills in coordination with resort leadership
- Maintain records of inspections, permits, and corrective actions
- Collaborate with HR and department heads to develop and implement safety training and protocols for all staff
- Oversee environmentally responsible practices including waste management, recycling, energy and water conservation
- Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and participate in sustainability initiatives
- Liaise with groundskeeping/golf course maintenance to support integrated environmental practices
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, culinary, golf course operations, maintenance and hospitality)
- Manage relationships with service vendors, contractors, and utility providers
- Solicit bids and manage contracts for major repair or improvement projects
- Develop and manage the annual departmental budget, including forecasting for capital improvements
- Oversee preventive maintenance for resort buildings, equipment, utilities, and systems (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscape, irrigation, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities or property management, preferably in hospitality, resort, or golf industry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, environmental, fire/life safety codes, and building regulations; OSHA certified preferred
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multi-disciplinary projects
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Procore.
