What it's like to be a FIELD CREW FOREMAN
As a Foreman, you will play a crucial role in the installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals, ensuring exceptional quality and precision.
Your ability to read and interpret blueprints will be invaluable as you coordinate daily activities with the General Contractor, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient workflow. Your expertise in organizing and instructing crews, tools, and materials will be the driving force behind the success of each project. Safety is our top priority, and as a Foreman, you will ensure that all crew members have proper certifications, follow job-site safety regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
Through your diligent monitoring and reporting, you will address any safety violations or potential hazards, prioritizing the well-being of our team and other tradesmen. As a valuable member of our team, you will attend job-site meetings and complete daily reports, keeping everyone informed and on schedule. Your attention to detail will extend to the maintenance of equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and productivity.
Additionally, you will serve as our on-site safety representative, ensuring that all personnel adhere to proper safety protocols and wear the necessary protective gear. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints to ensure accurate layout and installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals
- Strong leadership abilities are necessary to instruct and organize the crew, tools, and materials efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate daily activities with the General Contractor
- Commitment to ensuring that crew members have the necessary certifications and qualifications to operate equipment and tools safely
- Knowledge of job-site safety regulations
- Proficiency in relevant construction software and tools, which may include software for project management, blueprint reading, and scheduling
- Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in metalwork and installation
