We are looking for a customer-focused Host to join our team! You will be welcoming guests, seating them in the restaurant, and helping ensure they enjoy an exceptional dining experience. You are a natural people person who can quickly build rapport with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities, you rely on your excellent organization and communication skills to bring your best each day for yourself, restaurant staff, and guests. Qualifications
- Restaurant experience preferred, but not necessary
- Knowledge of basic host service and pleasant attitude
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to lift at least 20 pounds
- Good hearing for safety and accurate communication
- Command of the English language
- Basic computer skills
- Report to work in full uniform for each shift and being responsible for clock in/out
- Perform host stand set-up, opening duties, running side work, and closing duties
- Positive and uplifting first and last impression to our patrons
- Communicate and seat guests in an organized, professional, and friendly fashion
- Accept reservations (when applicable) and quote waiting periods per manager's criteria.
- Attend all employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
- Maintain restaurant safety and sanitation policies
- Assist in table maintenance when able
- Work with "teamwork" always in mind.
- Friendly and courteous telephone manners
- Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the General Manager/Supervisor
