We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware,and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Position: Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Part Time and Full Time Caseloads available in our clinic located in Fairfax, VA
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work involves developmental screening/assessment, speech therapy services and consultation with family members and other professionals working with the family.
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over at community settings.
- Work is performed in clinic based settings
- Follow Individualized Service Plan, plan ongoing treatment, and interprets goals and treatment plan to parents and makes recommendations for further developmental assessments as needed
- Participate in monthly agency staff meeting
- Prepares progress reports at six month intervals and annual reviews
- Maintains client records and submit them to agency within established deadlines.
- Other duties assigned by immediate supervisor within scope of work.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- 1-2 years of experience working with children birth 21 is preferred, we are open to training new graduates
- Must possess VA state license to practice Speech Therapy
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
- The ability to climb and descend staircases
- The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
- The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods
Compensation: Part-Time hourly up to $85
Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
$2,000 sign on bonus included!
