Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler with strong expertise in logical, conceptual, and ontological data modeling to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our data architecture, ensuring consistency, and driving adoption of modern engineering practices across the enterprise. Your contributions will help ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and data solutions for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on data modeling with a focus on conceptual, logical, and physical models.
  

• Build logical and conceptual data models and maintain them in data modeling environments.
  

• Develop and maintain ontological models aligned with industry standards.
  

• Gather, document, and publish data dictionaries and metadata for wider team usage.
  

• Capture existing models from databases and enrich them with descriptive information.
  

• Publish models in HTML or other browsable formats for enterprise-wide consumption.
  

• Define and manage version control for data models.
  

• Identify business needs, organize and define data, and create enterprise data standards .
  

• Participate in data model de-normalization and ensure proper implementation of business rules via triggers, stored procedures, or application logic.
  

• Collaborate closely with application developers and DBAs to ensure robust data design.
  

• Present data designs and project deliverables to the Data Review Board (DRB) for approval.
  

• Generate DDL scripts and validate proper implementation.
  

• Identify opportunities for data reuse and reduction of redundancy across systems.
  

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in logical and conceptual data modeling .
  

• Strong expertise in ontological modeling .
  

• Mortgage Lending domain experience (mandatory).
  

• Familiarity with industry ontology models such as BIAN, FIBO, MISMO .
  

• Strong understanding of data architecture and design across enterprise systems.
  

• Knowledge of software development practices (analysis, design, maintenance, improvement).
  

• Proficiency in modern development toolsets and collaborative environments.
  

• Awareness of industry technology trends and best practices.
  

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
  

• Proven ability to work in large, collaborative teams while fostering an innovative culture.
