- Job-Specific Insights VDOT's Staunton District is looking to hire PART-TIME roadway maintenance professionals. Come be a part of the team responsible for clearing drainage, removing debris, cutting brush, and roadway maintenance. Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, dump trucks, backhoes, graders, tar distributers, rollers, loaders, mowing tractors, etc. Respond to emergencies blocking roads, such as traffic accidents and debris, to provide traffic control and perform activities to reopen the road.
