Inventory Control specialist
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA, 23231. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock management, and supporting our overall operational goals. Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels across all product lines.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and best practices.
- Prepare and analyze inventory reports to provide insights for decision-making.
- Assist in the training of staff on inventory control procedures and software.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in inventory handling.
- Support the development of inventory control policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in supply chain management or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations related to inventory management.
