Histotechnologist – Evening (2nd) Shift
Location: Charlottesville, VA
Compensation: $26.76 – $42.82 per hour
Shift: Evening (2nd Shift)

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Histotechnologist to join our laboratory team in Charlottesville, VA. This role is critical in supporting diagnostic, research, and educational efforts by performing high-quality histological procedures. The Histotechnologist will prepare tissue samples for microscopic analysis, maintain lab equipment, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis.

• Perform histological procedures to aid in diagnosis, research, and instruction.

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.

• Train new team members and monitor daily workflow.

• Initiate and participate in safety, quality control, and compliance activities.

• Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Perform area-specific support and clinical tasks as needed.

• Ensure all activities meet regulatory and accreditation standards.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Completion of a Histology Technician program accredited by NAACLS or education that meets eligibility for HTL (ASCP) certification.

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a Histology Laboratory.

• Licensure/Certification: ASCP certification or equivalent is required.
