Vice President of Pharmacy Services

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Pharmacy Services to join this large health system. In this role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing and optimizing all pharmacy services within the system. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency, quality, and compliance of our pharmacy operations, making this position vital to our success in the healthcare industry.
As the Vice President of Pharmacy Services, you will lead strategic initiatives, manage a talented team of pharmacy professionals, and collaborate with key stakeholders to drive innovation and excellence in pharmaceutical care. You will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, controlling costs, and ensuring regulatory adherence. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize pharmacy services and drive business growth.
- Lead and mentor the pharmacy team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards related to pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate pharmacy services with overall patient care initiatives.
- Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
- Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of pharmacy services.
- Implement quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care and patient safety.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in pharmacy services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within pharmacy services, preferably as a Vice President or Director.
- PharmD degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacy license in good standing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations, clinical services, and healthcare regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving strategic goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and technology solutions.
