• Location: La Crosse, Virginia 23950
• Position: Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care (Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 09/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960 per week
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 (Days, Nights, Weekends)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: Epic EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• PALS certification (preferred)
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• BSN degree (preferred)
• Ability to provide two professional nursing references
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to float within scope as needed

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatric populations
• Monitor and manage patients on cardiac telemetry
• Perform central line care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, and wound care
• Administer blood products, cardiac drips (no titration), and procedural sedation
• Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, Social Services)
• Document patient care using Epic EMR
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed
• Support patients with post-MI, renal failure, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and total joint replacements
