Director, Project Management Office (PMO) - Credit Solutions

Fairfax, VA
Director, Project Management Office (PMO) – Credit Solutions

Position Description
CGI is one of the largest independent IT and business consulting services firms in the world. Through industry expertise, innovative technology solutions, and a collaborative culture, CGI helps clients across industries achieve measurable business outcomes while empowering professionals to build meaningful careers and make an impact.

CGI is seeking a Credit Studio PMO Director to establish, lead, and continuously improve the project management framework across our Credit Studio delivery operations within CGI's US Commercial Services business. Credit Studio is a leading software platform used by financial institutions to support loan origination and debt collection processes. This leadership role will provide governance, strategic direction, and operational oversight across multiple concurrent implementation and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) engagements.

As a senior leader, you will partner with business, delivery, and client stakeholders to strengthen project management discipline across globally distributed teams. You will drive consistency in project planning, reporting, Jira utilization, risk management, and delivery execution while ensuring successful client outcomes. This role requires a strategic thinker who can also operate hands-on when needed, including stepping into Service Delivery Manager (SDM) responsibilities to support new client engagements and business growth.

This position supports teams and clients across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and India. The role may be performed remotely within the United States or from CGI's Fairfax, VA office.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Establish and lead the Credit Studio Project Management Office, defining governance standards, methodologies, and delivery best practices
• Develop and implement portfolio-level reporting frameworks that provide visibility into project health, delivery performance, risks, and resource utilization
• Partner with executive leadership to align project portfolios with strategic business objectives and client priorities
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery processes, Agile practices, and operational execution
• Establish meaningful KPIs, dashboards, and metrics to support informed decision-making and performance management
• Lead proactive risk identification, dependency management, and mitigation planning across multiple concurrent initiatives
• Coach, mentor, and elevate the capabilities of Service Delivery Managers, project managers, and delivery teams
• Improve Jira utilization, reporting consistency, sprint management, and project transparency across global teams
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful implementation, product delivery, and O&M outcomes
• Serve as an SDM or delivery leader when necessary to support new client implementations and business expansion opportunities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 10+ years of experience leading Agile software development projects within large-scale, multi-team delivery environments
• Proven experience establishing, managing, and evolving a PMO, governance office, or similar program management function
• Demonstrated success managing complex project portfolios across software implementations, product delivery, and Operations & Maintenance engagements
• Strong expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and hybrid delivery models
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile project management tools, including reporting, workflow optimization, and governance
• Experience developing executive-level reporting, project metrics, dashboards, and portfolio management frameworks
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones and geographies
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels within a fast-paced delivery organization

Desired qualifications

• Experience supporting financial services organizations, lending platforms, loan origination systems, credit systems, or collections platforms
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, or PMI-ACP
• Experience supporting software product organizations with client-facing implementations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on operational excellence
